Welcome to my website! My name is  Jane Paice and I'm an artist based on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey in North Wales.

I was elected to The Royal Cambrian Academy of Art as an Associate Member in October 2024.

Since the death of my eldest son in 2019, painting has become my escape, my passion, my grief and my joy. It’s a way to remember … and a way to forget.

I'm delighted to announce that I have been offered exhibitions at some fabulous Welsh art galleries during the next few years, including:

- Oriel Môn

- The Royal Cambrian Academy of Art

- Plas Glyn-y-Weddw

- Oriel Ger-y-Fenai

- Plas Brondanw.

Current and future exhibitions are outlined below.

I also have a selection of paintings available direct from my Anglesey studio,  from the Gallery page on this website and from Oriel Ger-y-Fenai in Llanfairpwll, Anglesey.

Oriel Môn

I paint mainly in oils with some occasional mixed media work. I derive the inspiration for most of my work from the magnificence of the land and sea around my home in North Wales. I aim to convey in my art the dynamic and relentless energy of the sea, be it a stormy seascape or the simple curl of a wave.

I create ambiguity in my work, leaving the viewer to decide whether they’re looking at the waves, a cave or a long-forgotten, abandoned vein of wealth beneath the ground and to add their own narrative.
