This painting symbolises the transition from one stage of our lives to another.  It might be the birth of a child, leaving a past life behind, travelling to pastures new or the final journey of a loved one.
By the use of three small orange 'patches', a mesh is created which forms a barrier between this stage and the next. Can we pass through the mesh to reach what lies beyond? I leave the viewer to create their own narrative.
