I painted this energetic piece following a visit to Aberffraw on Anglesey immediately after a storm had whipped the sea and sand into a frenzy. The light was phenomenal and I felt compelled to use yellows and purples to recreate the way I felt as I watched the drama unfold. The intensity and movement of a storm is brought to life through bold colors and dynamic brushwork.
